The Wedding

It was the middle of the night, morning for them. She texted him "are you up?" She knew he was just like he knew she was, He answered "Yes Babe, I am". It was the early morning of their wedding, neither could sleep especially apart from each other.

They decided to sneak out to have breakfast. They were googling 24 hour diners when they realized Airport Diner was open. They had gone there one morning a few months back to kill time when he was waiting to dump. They thought it was the perfect place for pre-wedding rendezvous.

He came to pick her up with a giant smile on his face grabbing her closer to him to hug her, they were so excited it was their wedding day. They headed to the diner where they sat giggling like school kids talking about the things needed to be done during the day. They decided to go to the high school track to walk around, it was still dark but neither one wanted to leave the other. They eventually had to sneak back to the apt and hotel so no one knew they had seen each other on their wedding day.

She doesn't want to leave him, she keeps stalling she knows it's going to feel like an eternity to see him later. They both however have so much to do before they said "I Do". She was going with Bri, who was her maid of honor, to get hair and makeup done. He had to get the flowers and set up the tables. They were having 50 guests, a small casual wedding with family and friends. They wanted everyone to enjoy in a casual comfortable celebration of their marriage.

She couldn't wait to see him waiting for her, dressed in his linen wedding clothes, she already knew he was going to look incredibly handsome. She was so nervous and time was dragging, she wanted to feel his arms around her.

It was finally time to leave, her heart was beating fast she was going to see her groom, she couldn't wait. They arrived at Capt Bills going straight to the bridal suite where she was met by Joseph. She was so honored to have him walk her down to the him, both Joseph and Brianna were giving her away.

She was jumping out of her skin to get moving. She was so close to him and wanted to see him. Finally it was time to go, the walk to the deck where they were getting married seemed so long. She held onto Joseph's arm walking as she turned the corner she saw him, her heart skipped a beat, it took everything to not run to him.

She could see his beautiful smile, she could see he was a happy nervous his breathing was deep.  She looked into his eyes she could see the tears starting to form, her heart melted. All she wanted to do was grab his hand and hold him tight.

Standing in front of the pastor neither one heard anything he was saying they were to busy looking into each other's eyes.  The pastor was  asking who gives this woman to be wed, Joseph answered his sister and I. As the pastor was speaking again they were staring at each other, he mouthed to her "You are so beautiful" she felt the tears come, she was so happy. She wanted to feel his hand in hers, the pastor finally gave the sign that they may join hands, she grabbed his hand squeezing it so tightly, she felt at home, she wasn't ever going to let go.

They stood there hand in hand before family and friends professing their love for each other, the love they have for  each other's hearts could be seen by anyone. They faced each other to say their vows, she looked into his hazel eyes seeing the tears of happiness. He couldn't wait to wear his ring, he constantly was trying it on since they bought it. As she placed his ring on his finger, she looked into his eyes thinking about their love, their life together, and their future as husband and wife.

She was standing next to her husband, she couldn't believe it as the pastor was announcing them as husband and wife for the first time. She was so happy, she couldn't wait to celebrate with him but first she needed to grab him off to the side, to just breathe for a minute together with him.

She needed to feel his embrace, his arms wrapped tightly around him and just be with him alone. She loved being in his arms, she felt safe and she wanted this moment to be with her husband.

This moment, this is what she waiting all day for, to be held within his arms and this is the moment she will remember forever.
