The Word

 

Her mind drifts off, she oftentimes forgets why she came into a room. Her brain is mentally as well as physically exhausted. She forgets anything and everything constantly having to write notes for the most simplest things. 

They have a name for it yet she refuses to say the "W" word, "Widow" brain. She is still married to him she will never refer to herself as a "W". She will never refer to herself with that word.

She will always be married to him, their love intertwined for eternity. He is her everything, she now has to learn to navigate her future without him physically with all his love deep in her heart. 

This is so very hard for her, she has always been so focused and detailed now everything is a blur, unfocused, she forgets the simplest things but if she is honest with herself she does not care if things get done. Most things aren't that important and the energy required to do them is just vacant in her life right now. She does the bare minimum to get by.
